Tournament rules

Organiser
Tournaments are organised by DUVONE DARTS, run as an individual project currently being incorporated (see Legal notice). Contact: contact@duvone.com. Each tournament has its own page in the client area (name, game mode, dates, prize, minimum entrants), which complements these rules.
Nature of the competition
Tournaments are games of skill: rankings depend solely on the players' darts performance, with no element of chance in awarding the prize (only the pool draw is random). No fee is charged to enter a tournament.
Who can enter
Tournaments are restricted to adults (18 or older): each player declares this when registering. You also need a verified DUVONE DARTS account, a username, and a DUVONE DARTS machine linked to that account. A tournament is either reserved for DUVONE DARTS+ subscribers (active subscription or gifted access) or open to everyone: in that case a free-tier account must have, when registering, enough free online games to reach the final — otherwise registration is refused. One entry per account; an account suspended from online play cannot play.
Registration and minimum entrants
You sign up and withdraw from the client area until registration closes. Each tournament sets a minimum number of DUVONE DARTS+ subscriber entrants, based on the value of the prize: if it isn't reached when registration closes, the tournament is cancelled and entrants are notified by email. Once that minimum is reached, the tournament goes ahead however many players turn up on the day.
Confirming you're here
On the day, each entrant confirms their presence on their machine ("I'm here" button) during the 15 minutes before the start. An entrant who hasn't confirmed by the start time doesn't take part. If only one player is present, they win the tournament; if nobody is, the tournament ends without a winner.
How it's played
Present players are randomly split into pools of 3 or 4, each playing one live game, machine to machine, in the mode set for the tournament. The top 2 of each pool go through to the next round; this repeats until the final, played as a single pool once 5 players or fewer remain. Each player has 3 minutes to join their pool: after that, the game starts with the connected players, and a player alone in their pool goes through without playing.
Rankings and tie-breaks
A pool's finishing order is the game's (winner, then the rank set by the game). A player who disconnects mid-game and doesn't come back in time forfeits; the remaining players are then separated by their score. The finishing order of the final gives the final ranking.
Fair play
The DUVONE DARTS online play rules apply, including the camera being on during games, visible to opponents, to prevent cheating (no footage is recorded). Players can report behaviour that breaks the rules. In case of proven cheating, attempted fraud (multiple accounts, outside help, tampering with the board or software) or abusive behaviour, DUVONE DARTS may disqualify a player, including after the tournament, and award the prize to the next player in the ranking.
Prize
The prize and its indicative value are shown on the tournament page. It goes to the winner of the final ranking and cannot be exchanged, refunded or converted into cash. The winner is contacted by email at their account address to arrange delivery and asked for an ID to confirm they are an adult. Without a reply within 30 days, or if the winner is a minor, the prize goes to the next player in the final ranking. DUVONE DARTS may replace an unavailable prize with one of equal or greater value.
Incidents
If a game-server outage or technical incident prevents a tournament from running normally, DUVONE DARTS may replay a pool, postpone or cancel the tournament, notifying entrants. A loss of a player's own connection or machine is their responsibility. No compensation is owed for a postponement or cancellation.
Personal data
Entrants' usernames appear in the tournament bracket and ranking, visible to other signed-in players. Tournament emails (announcements, reminders, results) can be turned off at any time from the client area or via the link in every email. See the Privacy policy.
Acceptance
Registering for a tournament means accepting these rules. DUVONE DARTS may update them: the version that applies to a tournament is the one in force when it opens for registration. For any question or complaint, write to contact@duvone.com.
